This is the provisioning checklist we use to remind us of groceries prior to a crossing. The list is organized similar to most grocery stores. The blank line is to place a quantity needed or to indicate some other qualifier, if an item is not needed then we cross it out in advance of the shopping so we do not end up with “over buy”. We watch the packaging to keep weight down and aid in recyclability: glass packaging is normally avoided. Finally: when in a foreign port I always try to get at least one thing I have not tried before. Sometimes there is a massive gap between our taste and what the surprise item was, other times we go back and stock up.
